3 Things to Consider When Stuck in Trauma Treatment

Are you feeling stuck with any of your clients lately?  If you said yes, no worries this is a common feeling.  The feeling of being stuck can be debilitating in your treatment process with a client.

Just the feeling alone causes us to have a heightened threat response which doesn’t help us to find a solution but rather focus on more and more what is wrong.   This response is natural but only leads us further in the wrong direction.

I have found myself wondering if I have what it takes to help a client or flat out feeling like an imposter.  Then once I was able to gather myself and calm down, I am able to consider some options and make sure I am covering all my bases before nailing the coffin shut the idea that I am in the wrong field.

You may be thinking that is drastic, but that is how fast we can get down on ourselves.  I know I am not the only one with this story.

So, if you are feeling stuck, I want to first say it is okay and there are three things I would consider you check into to see if you can get a little movement in the treatment process.

Let me share these three things with you in this week’s vlog, which you can find at the link below.
