What’s Developmental Trauma

Published by ninakeeler on

Trauma is anything that overwhelms the nervous system. There are different types of traumas, such as single incident trauma, complex trauma, and developmental trauma to mention a few.

This week’s vlog, is focused on tips to consider when treating developmental trauma to ensure you are creating interventions that are targeted. The more targeted interventions you can provide the better the outcome.

Here’s what you can expect to hear discussed in the vlog:

  1. Noticing the developmental phase during the time of trauma
  2. Noticing the brain development phase during the time of trauma
  3. Creating interventions with 1 and 2 in mind.
