Co-Regulation in Trauma Treatment

We all have heard regulation is key for our clients to heal from trauma, but what about co-regulation. How can we use co-regulation to help our clients heal?

In today’s vlog, I share a little about the Poly Vagal Theory, and how you can think through that lens as you work on your own regulation to facilitate co-regulation within your sessions with clients.

I share example of things you can apply immediately in your sessions:

  1. Moment-to-moment check ins with self.
  2. Model self-regulation in session.
  3. Create a container of safety.
